I have no youtube, so I can't be sure of this, but I suspect you have cherry-picked the shittiest Replacements version you could find and the best possible Kiss version?

I mean, it's still Replacements all the way, but...

It's the ONLY Black Diamond by the Replacements I could find on Youtube. I suspect this is down to the fact their version is so crap.

Full disclosure: don't really care for the song no matter who does it. But, and my apologies to Heston—I back you on most things original line-up Kiss—but the Replacements' version is better.

Heston's big mistake was not first consulting me how I'd go before announcing a public vote. If he couldn't get my normally sympathetic Kiss vote, he was going down the Mondale road of sadness.

Don't feel too bad. This is a Clash website. Most people here have good taste in music. If you put that up on a board full of regular schmoes, Kiss would have won by a lot.

Got any Mondale-related Bloom County you want to post?

I've studied the phenomenon of neo-provincialism in self-isolating online communities but this place takes the fucking cake.

Or maybe a link to a blog about mutualism that is applicable?
