Definitely a singles band. The only album that I find interesting is Wah Wah.

The King is so bad I've never heard of it!

I only have it as a rip made by a fellow fan. They originally released it for a day - then deleted it. This was done as they still owed Creation an additional album. It isn't good.

A divisive band, but important to a 17 year old WWK in 1994. It seemed like everyone was listening to the soulless remnants of grunge and then there comes this band that understands the power of a good riff and sing-a-long chorus. Morning Glory and Definitely Maybe are their best, but their final two: Dig Out Your Soul and Don't Believe the Truth were good. It's the middle period that really sags. I saw them live on their Don't Believe the Truth tour and they were impressive. Way more impressive than when I saw them in 1994/95.

When I was a mopey young person—instead of the whacky, permasmiling sea otter I am now—I would have emphasized the stuff from Disintegration down. But I much prefer the poppier side of the Cure now. I'd like to put Wish at #1 just for "Friday" alone, but as an album it's not as good as the two above it.
