Just more for you to hate to cut! Still, if you're making this for a particular audience, you can frame things better. For example, is this person more likely to go for "Outdoor Miner" or "Former Airline"? Stuff off Pink Flag or IBTABA?
He's fairly open minded, though I do find his taste inscrutable at times. His favorite post-punk bands are Go4 and Magazine, so I expect he'll be into the more abrasive stuff, but he does like hooks.

I'd emphasize the more "Bruce" stuff then. Nothing wrong with Wire's poppy side—one could make an excellent compilation of their melodic stuff—but they're less distinct in that realm, imo.

That got me to 28, which I then whittled down, partly by excising the longer tracks. No order except for how I encountered them:

Boiling Boy
Eardrum Buzz
Sand In My Joints
Too Late
Doubles & Trebles
Our Swimmer
Ahead
A "Serious" of Snakes
Drill
Children of Groceries
Reuters
Pink Flag (one of the Third Day versions or a live cut from the same era)
A Question Of Degree
Mr Marx's Table
Read & Burn
Swallow
Two People In A Room
Map Ref 41 Degrees N 93 Degrees W

And the ones I chopped:
99.9
Silk Skin Paws
Practice Makes Perfect
Strange
Stealth of a Stork
Time Lock Fog
Former Airline
Underwater Experiences (from Strays)
40 Versions
Gravity Worship
Moreover
I'm fucked. I have like 5 tracks per album.

As far as I know, nothing's been recorded, so … yeah, doubtful.

So—did you hear that a new Wire is coming out? The teaser track on their Soundcloud page is pretty cracking, imo.
