I once had a greater tolerance for some of the metal subgenres but when I pull it up to listen now I feel mostly indifferent/empty.

I do feel like the appreciation for grindcore on this site is directly proportional to how much hardcore was in rotation during your first year or two of punk fandom.

My preference for metal leans more towards death metal and black metal. I’m a huge Burzum fan, but will concede that Varg Vikrenes is a washed up racist tool. Case of separating the art from the artist I suppose.

Hahahaha. I mean I have a huge infatuation with British music. I’m an unashamed fan of Brit Pop even. But my music tastes honestly do run all over the place.
