I once had a greater tolerance for some of the metal subgenres but when I pull it up to listen now I feel mostly indifferent/empty.

My preference for metal leans more towards death metal and black metal. I’m a huge Burzum fan, but will concede that Varg Vikrenes is a washed up racist tool. Case of separating the art from the artist I suppose.
