Hello,
Police Squad had some really great moments. This was one of them.
Re: The Mighty Mighty Ska Thread
Hi gang, I'm looking for other UK ska bands from the cusp between the late 70s–early 80s beside the obvious main 6. So far I've come across the Akrylykz, the Swinging Cats, and the Equators, any others? I'd like to put together a reasonably comprehensive playlist.

Who do you count as the obvious main six?
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I have it, thanks! I'm coming across a lot of groups who have maybe a ska song or a couple songs that have ska elements, but not so many that were following the sort of 2 Tone ska ethos.Marky Dread wrote: ↑31 Oct 2023, 5:50pmI've got the Akrlykz first 7" I could upload if you need it. I have the Ska-Dows CD reissue which is great. I'll upload that tonight or tomorrow.

I always liked this one. The Specials roadies formed this band.

These guys from 1989 maybe a little late for what you are after. More rocksteady.
