Bands Named For Cities

Post by Dr. Medulla »

Just had lunch with a friend who challenged me to come up with a longer list of bands named for cities than his (I won by two). No combinations like Hanoi Rocks or New York Dolls, only the city name. Here's what I came up with on the fly:
Chicago
Boston
Toronto
Chilliwack
Berlin
Phoenix

Others?

Nope, unless there's a City-less Kansas out there.

Yes an old punk band from '76-'77 called London. Jon Moss was their drummer so a Clash connection.

Oh fuck. I immediately think of an early 80s shitty band like Toronto, but miss Warsaw?

There's a band from Coventry, UK called Gdansk. Who featured former band members of Squad which Terry Hall was the singer for before he joined The Specials.
