Re: I remeber Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My mom shared this on FB the other day. A young WWK from the late 80's dressed as the Man with the Lightbulb Head. I was too young to be a Robyn Hitchcock fan (or to even know who Hitchcock was) - but my older cousin had played the song for my sisters and me because even a couple of kids could appreciate the pure silliness of it!

Well, by that token, the entire gag about him being the Zodiac Killer is improper. It's black humour to be sure, but it's a vehicle to emphasize what a monster he is. That he jujitsu'd it is worth acknowledging. Along with him being thrown down the deepest hole in Texas.JennyB wrote: ↑31 Oct 2018, 3:41pmIt is, until you think about, you know, all of Zodiac's victims.

Re: I remeber Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey cool ghouls and mad mummies, here's a little REMEBRWEEN treat for y'all:
Just Can't Get Enough: New Wave Halloween (1998)
1. The Rocky Horror Picture Show - The Time Warp
2. Ministry - Everyday Is Halloween
3. The B-52's - Devil In My Car
4. Oingo Boingo - Dead Man's Party
5. Ramones - Pet Sematary
6. MX-80 Sound - Theme From Halloween
7. Comateens - The Munsters Theme
8. Dave Edmunds - The Creature From The Black Lagoon
9. Siouxsie & The Banshees - Halloween
10. The Dream Syndicate - Halloween
11. Sonic Youth - Halloween
12. Dead Kennedys - Halloween
13. Misfits - Halloween
14. Mudhoney - Halloween
15. Roky Erickson And The Aliens - Creature With The Atom Brain
Part of the excellent Rhino "Just Can't Get Enough" series, this cool collection is sure to impress your friends and neighbors this evening. While most of the tracks are available elsewhere, by my tracking at least the MX-80 Sound and Comateens cuts are not readily available on streaming services, and the mastering here is generally pretty good overall, so a nice package to listen to. This comp has been out of print for two decades now. Ripped from my silver CD to FLAC for your listening enjoyment.

My humorless take: an evil monster like Cruz embracing this joke is a cynical, jaded tactic that washes away his palpable vileness and therefore not funny at all.JennyB wrote: ↑31 Oct 2018, 4:15pmTrue. Re: I remeber Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yup, it is a humourless take. Of course it's a cynical and jaded tactic, but I'm capable of separating matters. Nixon going on Laugh In in '68 and delivering "Sock it to me line" was also cynical, trying to seem less of a ghoul to the hip kids, but it's still funny. *shrug*Wolter wrote: ↑31 Oct 2018, 4:32pmMy humorless take: an evil monster like Cruz embracing this joke is a cynical, jaded tactic that washes away his palpable vileness and therefore not funny at all.JennyB wrote: ↑31 Oct 2018, 4:15pmTrue. Thanks Flex. There's a noticeable lack of Cramps tracks though, for my money one of the top 3 Halloweeny bands.Flex wrote: ↑31 Oct 2018, 4:10pmHey cool ghouls and mad mummies, here's a little REMEBRWEEN treat for y'all:

Here in the central time zone it is almost an hour past Halloween but I wanted to wish you all a happy one even if it is over.
I'm so punk, I don't even take my leather jacket off when it catches fire. Which it does frequently, because of how fucking punk I am.

Hey hey, Bankrobber sighting! Howdy, pardner!
We had a total of four kids yesterday. One group of three and an absolutely adorable and shy little girl dressed in Spider-man's black costume. So, the Boss is taking a lot of leftover candy to school to promote diabetes in her student workers.
