Hundreds of kids, up and down the street for hours.
No free sweets here though I am no sponsor of the $2 Shop.
Yeah no need to encourage kids being happy.

We had about 20 or so kids tonight before a cold front moved in & dumped rain on everyone - anybody want 8 lbs of leftover halloween candy?

Im on a street that gets lots of kids, numbers were definitely down this year though and I have some leftovers to. Ring to work tomorrow.

We actually had a fair amount of flooding. A bad mix of heavy rain and leaves blocking the drains.

I also agree with Flex, its a cool holiday. I dont mind spending $20 - 30 on candy to give out to the kids.

I always buy candy just in case but not once have Trick or Treaters come by. Oh well. I get to eat candy and watch horror movies.

Used to do it when my kids were younger but now every house in the street is made up and kids arrive in cars. Seriously we had 100s of kids last night.
It isn’t a NZ tradition it is copied from US TV. Plus no one does a trick, if you say trick they stare at you and ask for sweets.

We had snow so it wasn’t particularly fun this year. Took them to the mall for indoor truck or treating but literally everyone thought of that so every single store ran out of candy five minutes after the doors opened.

I would not be surprised if this were a real thing.
