I will listen to this on Thursday when I do Maj's Dubliners challenge. Hope it's better than Einstürzende Neubauten.
It is conventional music.
Eumie, did I ever post about the one time I saw Neubauten live? (started out hating them, with extreme prejudice; by the end of the set I pretty much dug 'em).

That's awesome! Aside from Heston I've had a lot of luck in bringing people over to Neubauten. Their catalog is diverse enough to welcome many.

This was mid '80s or so at First Ave. in Minniassholes. I'll tell the tale in a bit, don't have time to tell it well just now, mate. Might be amusing...

I had a similar experience with KISS, even Wolter eventually gave in.

That is a lie.

Very good work, Gene.

In truth, you've had the opposite effect. I started out on your KISS nightmareathon more sympathetic—largely out of nostalgia—and you forced me to re-examine. Which didn't go so well for your side.

This is some good shit, eummie. Is the bowed bass a synth or an actual upright? I like the two vocalist approach.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

The drone bass is my Korg MS-20. In the solos I used the MS-20 (high part w/ portamento) and my Korg Minilogue (polyphonic part). The bass guitar was a P-bass clone if I recall correctly.

I like it. Not my genre cup of tea, but it’s nice. My favorite part might actually be the synths.

Just had a listen Gene, good stuff. Not my usual bag but very pro-sounding and hangs together really well.

I agree with a few others about the chirruping though, seems a bit out of place.
