Two words - Lover's Rock.

This isn't entirely on topic, but as much as I love DM's Songs of Faith and Devotion, I hated, hated hated (and still hate) Dave Gahan's look during that era. I get it. You love the grunge thing. But you are not in a grunge band and you look silly. I don't care if you were in the throes of your heroin addiction. Get a haircut.

Agree on this one. He's always been a pretty cool looking dude - but that look was awful. I guess I blame the era - but he comes across as looking like a small time truck stop dealer selling meth outside of Tulsa.

That's one way of putting one of the two guys I'd leave my husband for, but OK.

The other is Paul Giamatti right? Or am I thinking of a different friend?

Remember seeing them on TOTP and thought it was great.

Yeah, it's not a bad cover. It's just not the Ramones in my opinion. No Johnny, Dee Dee or Marky. Didn't Dee Dee once claim that Spector pointed a gun at him and then forced the band to listen to him play Baby, I Love You on the piano for hours on end?

My main issue is not with the track - I just think Spector could have found a better home for it. EOtC is not a great album lyrically - but it has a great sound to it. The first side pretty much rocks from start to finish (with the exception being Danny Says - but even that song has the band on it) and then the second side begins with Baby, I Love You and it's always been a buzzkill. I sometimes skip it - and then they ramp it back up again...but I wouldn't have included it on the album. Solo Joey single or something like that.
