I guess the lawsuit dough has run out. Mike Joyce is buying too many Faberge eggs.
Very nice reference.

He spoke to me from a cloud. Then we played a crappy Carole King song together.

Well, this gets weirder. Andy Rourke has denied any involvement in it

What difference does it make if it's all just a miserable lie?

I kinda like the idea of something advertised as a Smiths reunion being just Gannon.

And now with Rourke and Joyce pulling out the gigs have now been cancelled ..

Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don't have any surface noise. I said, "Listen, mate, "life" has surface noise."

So, I guess Morrissey was involved in these shows after all.

Is any of this really shocking? I would be curious to know if there was any behind-the-scenes stuff going on. Morrissey and Marr own the rights to the songs - so would any "classic reimagining" require their okay? I'd think so and I'd bet pretty much anything that Morrissey would never give his okay. Guy is too bitter.

Wouldn't it just require some kind of performance royalty payment, the same as recording a cover on an album?

Not sure, but never underestimate the spite of Morrissey...
