Haven't watched it yet, but that's underwhelming.

Given the promise of footage that had been found, you can only assume permission was denied to show any of it.
Re: Sidney Vicious
Is this all new footage? It's two or three decent length snippets of songs and the quality isn't terrible.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Hello,
Sid would have been an interesting guy if he hadn't succumbed to drugs. He wa a punk - horrible upbringing seeking to express feeling via rock. Good band - average lead vocalist. Would anyone here have enjoyed having an extended/deep conversation with him? I can enjoy the show but the lead singer isn't special.

People seemed to like him, but I haven't read any account of him that doesn't make him seem dense, dull, or obnoxious.gkbill wrote: ↑31 Dec 2022, 1:57amHello,

Re: Sidney Vicious
He's a tragic case, for sure. Seems like he was horribly unpleasant, but he really probably never had a shot at being anything else. If he'd somehow survived I'd like to think there would have been a way for him to channel all his desperation and self hatred into something more positive. But, then he wouldnt have been sid vicious, I guess.
