I second all of this.
What can I say. The Kinks are my all time fave group with The Clash a very close second. The Panic Report third place obviously. ;)
You really want that badge, don't you?
No I want three badges and a CD. Oh and a signed guitar.

For me its when I have a massive list of songs on shuffle and somehow one songs theme just transitions really well with the next one either lyricslly or musically. I cant give an example right now though...

Like when you're listening to "Love Will Keep Us Together" leads into "Love Will Tear Us Apart"? Or do you mean more than just your unparalleled collection of Captain & Tennille albums?

Well it will be different for everyone but that scenario would probably qualify. But you bringing thrm up caused me to do a little internet research and happened by this juicy bit of gossip.
Daryl (aka The Captain) had replacement surgery on both knees and then refused post surgery physical therapy in favor of ringing the intercom buzzer for Toni to empty his urine container
And apparently he wasnt into the sexy times either and wore his stupid hat all the time even at home.

Funny how reality matches the imagination. Actually, I figure that if he removed the hat, his brain would be exposed.
