Sublime Moments.

Post by Carpentologist »

Just been thinking about moments in songs, you know little snippets that have you going back and listening two or three times because they are so sublime...

One for me is during “Trash City” the verse that begins with the line “..sing you a song like rubber on a turn...”

Just glorious!

The guitar break and chorus in Please Please Me. It's just perfect.

Images of all that could be desired
Then I got tired of counting all of these blessings
Then I just got tired"

Travelling Wilburys “Handle With Care”
George Harrison harmonising with himself singing;

Pretty much every one of Keith Moons drum fills in Won’t Get Fooled Again is a sublime moment!

You know when Inder is right. He's just so right. I've loved that since I first heard it. My first album also.

We had to meet the enemy a mile away
Thunder in the air and the sky turned grey
Assembling the knights and their swords were sharp
There was not a hope in your English hearts

Those lyrics are definitely an all time Magazine favorite. Runner up: "it's so hot in here. What are they trying to hatch?"

Good call, that one is stuck in my head a lot. Usually during the summer.
