Happy Birthday KISS ALIVE II

Post by Heston » 14 Oct 2017, 9:21am

40 today. Look at the rock majesty in this picture from the gatefold cover. The kind of shit the Replacements could only dream about...

So what does Marconi playing the mamba mean? "Marconi" is referring to the radio itself. It plays a deadly snake. The snake - the mamba - is slithering from the speakers. Ready to kill greedy corporations. Ready to free the world of all that is evil, and to leave behind only the youthful idealism encompassed by the tenets of rock and roll.

Is Heston day-drinking again?

KISS: Look at all the fireballs and platforms and fireworks!
Replacements: We can satisfy audiences on music alone.
KISS: … … … Look at all the fireballs and platforms and fireworks.

As sober as Gene Simmons.

His brain is riddled with syphilis spirochetes. What's your excuse?

Yes, I do. And this motherfucker, which was just released a week ago, sold out in ALL local Twin Cities record stores for a over a week and went on immediate back-order. Oh - and the version of "Black Diamond" is even better than the 'Let It Be' studio version. Which is waaay better than the Kiss original. And it's not even a very good song to begin with.
