I used to be able to tell an indie, lefty book by two qualities—bleached, almost bright white paper and some kind of sans serif font. Helvetica means the revolution or something, I guess. I haven't noticed it as much in the last decade or so, however. The conspiracy is infiltrating serifs.

Since Google dropped them and started using sans, we had to switch sides so as not to be implicated.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑29 Nov 2017, 8:46pmI used to be able to tell an indie, lefty book by two qualities—bleached, almost bright white paper and some kind of sans serif font. I thought you guys all wanted to marry helvetica.
Re: Covering Album Covers
Helvetica is very polarizing. I don't mind it as long as the kerning and leading is done with purpose.

Re: Covering Album Covers
I am, of course, pretty dim on this angle of presentation (I'm stronger on the content of the text), but aren't simpler, more straight-forward fonts the better choice?
