Okay, I gave Sorcerer another spin today and I see your point. Two things though:
(1) The bonus tracks on the reissue sort of moot the point.
(2) Even in the original form, and although it's a mega quirky track unlike the others, I just can't imagine Sorcerer without it. It adds to the charm of the album. It would be like taking the Sexeteria out of Jerusalem.

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
Hey, if you like jazz and live in NYC, you should check out Reut Regev at Cornelia Street Cafe on the 29th. She's an avant jazz trombonist from Israel http://www.reutregev.com/
Solid work. I tonally prefer trombone to trumpet, actually.
(Disclosure: She just added me on Facebook--I had tried to help her out with her website a few years ago.)
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

I've studied the phenomenon of neo-provincialism in self-isolating online communities but this place takes the fucking cake.
