The one thing that I've always wondered but never came across in any book I've read on either subject, is why the HELL didn't the Wailers enter the studio with Tubby? It would have been a goldmine. There's a couple dub Wailers albums, but none are quite what I wish to hear.
I think that Tubby was probably too radical and heavy for the more pop orientated Wailers.
Still, there's no denying how popular his mixes were in Jamaica at the time, if not around the world (which was the domain of the Wailers, obviously). It would have been worth it to do just a JA release or something. Maybe Bob just didn't get dub at all.
I think Bob was the pop side and Tosh was the dub side.
