Yeah, great track.
Plus, it dug Iggy out of some financial troubles, right?
Best of his Iggy covers by a damn sight, and a fantastic rearrangement.
It's nearly a different song.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

But Boeie at least co wrote China Girl?

I prefer Iggy's version.

Bowie's main contribution to the original was helping Iggy come up with the music (apparently composed in a drunken jam session with Pop on a child's drum kit and Bowie on toy piano - they taped what they come up with and originally titled it "Borderline"). The lyrics are pretty much all Pop.

How does one rebel when your dad is Iggy Pop? Become like Saffie on AbFab?

ETA: I misread that as Pop's child's drum kit. I have no clue if he has children.

Love this live version of this lost footage. Listen to Ronson's guitar at around 2.19 sounds awesome.

Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don't have any surface noise. I said, "Listen, mate, "life" has surface noise."

Second single I ever bought. First was New York Groove by Ace Frehley. 2 great songs.

I'm really having a great time annoying VH by declaring that Eddie Van Hagar stole his signature style from Mick Ronson's solo in "Andy Warhol" from the live in Santa Monica '72. And he especially gets annoyed when I (purposefully) say Mark Ronson.
