U2, "Driving to Midnight Mass, Dublin, Christmas Eve". (1983)
Think what you will about Bono, but I think this is a pretty evocative recording. (Irishmen can write, aye, but they also can speak. For better or worse :twitch: ).

Nice. Not a great song but cool over-the-top production. I had his first mid-80s solo album - 'Drums Along the Mohawk' - and it sounded for all the world like a Prince joint. Dude even writes, plays, sings and produces the whole thing.

Did you hear this on Steve's 'Underground Garage'? (Jean played bass and guitar with Steve's original Disciples of Soul, as well as the Plasmatics).

Yeah, most of the second half of this year's selections were Little Steven inspired picks.

Real nice pick, Mr. Dread.

25 Days of Christmas (Songs), 2018 - Day 2

Cheech & Chong - Santa Claus and His Old Lady

Original release: Santa Claus and His old Lady b/w Dave
Year: 1971

A lot of Cheech and Chong isn't really that funny, but their debut single is a stone cold classic. Our record store tradition was to play it every Christmas eve as we were shutting down the store.
