I think the main reason we did not mention it was because its been posted before, perhaps in a different thread though.
You posted a Die Toten Hosen cover of it at some point, I believe.
Was Tom Baker always the singer for Slade?
You sure it's not Michael Caine?

You're asking the wrong person. Every English person looks like a variation of Marty Feldman to me.

This is what I see when I see any Englishman:

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

I though James was Irish. Nice wedding photo, tho.

Now for the chart competitor to Slade....

25 Days of Christmas (Songs) - Day 9

Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday

Original release: I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday b/w Rob Roy's Nightmare (A Bit More H.A.)
Year: 1973

Also great. Little Steven is playing this on xm a lot right now.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Let's get in a Rock & Roll vein...

25 Days of Christmas (Songs) - Day 10

Bob Seger and The Last Heard - Sock It To Me Santa

Original release: Sock It To Me Santa b/w Florida Time
Year: 1966
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

25 Days of Christmas (Songs) - Day 11

Darlene Love with the E Street Band - All Alone on Christmas

Original release: Home Alone 2: Lost in New York – Original Soundtrack Album
Year: 1992

It kills me that a song this good was used for a soundtrack cut for a movie so bad. It's funny, is all.

It was a pretty bad film - shameless rehash of the original (which I actually like). It also gave us such annoying merchandise as this piece of garbage:

Speaking of the E Street Band - those cats really, really like playing holiday tunes, In The Tradition. (sounds more like their buddies da Ramones here, more so than Phil Spector).

And now for something completely different. ( Hey, it's never too early nor late for Auld Lang Syne. If you're still alive inside, that is).
