Jackyl. More than 30 years of Jackyl.

I know nothing about Jackyl, but I do remember sometime in the early 90s, I saw a video of theirs and one of the guys was wearing a Dead Kennedys shirt. I was confused.

Whenever I come across Jackyl, I now default to this Patton Oswalt routine that references them.

He's such a gem.

I won't exaggerate things, but I think conditions in the music industry made it more likely for strange music to occasionally poke thru more than now. That's always the trap to avoid, that one period produces superior music in an aesthetic sense. Instead, think about socio-economic conditions and the structure and health of the music industry to allow or disallow diversity.
