I can see how they got Spin Doctors from Chumbawamba. 90s 1 hit wonders. I'm not going to see the Two Princes guys for a dose of good natured anarcho pop/punk/folk.

Maybe they're just monitoring's Flex's listening habits. Dave Matthews, for fans of The Exploited and Elton John.Silent Majority wrote: ↑22 Jun 2019, 6:23pmI can see how they got Spin Doctors from Chumbawamba. 90s 1 hit wonders. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

Precious is so much better than A Town Called Malice.
And yet.
And yet.

Wow, "Destroyer" is quite a trip. "Fixing" is a cool rocker, I'm pretty sure I've heard it before. Love 'em.Inder wrote: ↑30 Jun 2019, 3:51amAnd while I'm flying on cheap rum, have a listen to a few Phase 2 Inder demos:

"A distant shoe clicks to the midnight beat" versus "A whole streets belief in Sunday's roast beef gets dashed against the co-op".
Malice all day everyday no contest.
Forces have been looting
My humanity
Curfews have been curbing
The end of liberty
We're the flowers in the dustbin...
No fuchsias for you.

Agreed Malice wins everyday, Precious still does have that sexy sound to it. Remember coming across it when first listening to Snap! Just sounded so different and whilst it's not even in my top 20 Jam tracks, it's fairly solid in my eyes.Marky Dread wrote: ↑30 Jun 2019, 5:50am"A distant shoe clicks to the midnight beat" versus "A whole streets belief in Sunday's roast beef gets dashed against the co-op".

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread
I love "Precious" and where "Malice" clearly stole it's backbone from "You Cant Hurry Love" "Precious" was Weller's attempt at "Papas Got A Brand New Pigbag". Both are great and it was magic back in the day having both sides played on T.O.T.Ps.BitterTom wrote: ↑30 Jun 2019, 5:56amAgreed Malice wins everyday, Precious still does have that sexy sound to it. But for the Ray Davies like social commentary "Malice" will always hold a special place for me.
