For my money...maybe the greatest collection of singles in rock history.
I had it on at the weekend before I went out. Never been the biggest fan of the Buzzcocks but what a string of great singles. "I Don't Mind" is so full of twists and turns for a supposed basic punk band.

I saw Vic Godard and the Subway Sect in Manchester on Saturday, so have been listening to Vic a lot. All the music played between bands was the Buzzcocks/solo Pete Shelley. All sounded great, not least Why Can't I Touch it? which I had been playing a lot recently because it is on the excellent Death Disco compilation CD that Marky D recommended.

"Why Can't I Touch It" is awesome it shows their influences being so much more than just being another punk band. Can and krautrock are a big influence.

Sonic Jesus, Neither Virtue Nor Anger. Dark post-punk revivalists from Italy, I think. There's nothing remotely original about them (at least so far)—Galaxie 500 comes to mind most prominently—but it's good stuff.

A solid intro compilation to the band. Highly recommended.

Bought the Nick Cave reissue of Murder Ballads, with the album also on DVD. Listening to it in 5.1 and it sounds great. I fear this will tempt me into getting all the other reissues!

My head is indeed beginning to smoke! The videos are pretty crappy picture quality, but doesn’t really matter because I probably won’t ever play them again (like all my other music DVDS, I can’t be the only one?)

Yes I am sure I have some ‘bonus disc dvds’ I have never watched.

Hello,

Against Me! - Against Me! is Reinventing Axl Rose. Great. Political. Rock. I really like most of their catalog. This is a great album although others may want to start with New Wave. Their confrontational stance and literacy is rare. I don't know why they don't get much attention 'round here. Perhaps not as much now, but there was a time where they could claim they were the only band that mattered - there was really no one like them.

I have them all and they are great, but what videos are you referencing? I thought the only video on those dvds was the tribute documentary for each album?

The Murder Ballads DVD has the promo videos of Henry Lee, Stagger Lee and Wild Roses, as well as the tribute doc.
