Songwriters: I'm killing myself trying to think of the term for when a chorus is way, way late in the song, which sets up tension until it explodes in catchy hellfire. I heard it once years ago and now I can't remember the name for it.
Chorjaculation.

As heard in Don't Stop Believin'.
Love those songs - Swamp Thing is a great example
I thought you were talking about the cartoon theme song in which case, it goes the chorus almost immediately:
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I thought that theme was corny as hell even as a kid. It didn't help that I've always hated Wild Thing.

The Boss always forgets that running errands with me is better in the abstract than in practice. She drives, she picks the radio station, I make observations.

Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" comes on.
Me (matter-of-factly): "This is not a good song. It is not constructed well and it is not performed well."

Semisonic's "Closing Time"
Me: "This is also not a good song. It should not be broadcast on the public airwaves."

Katy Perry's "Fireworks"
Me: "This, too, is not a good song. I don't understand why she sings it so ardently. That just draws attention to the fact that it is not good."

Your third take is as obviously correct as your first two are incorrect.

Flexton

The first two are excellent.

I'm with Hooks.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

I've studied the phenomenon of neo-provincialism in self-isolating online communities but this place takes the fucking cake.

Flex and Heston are not perceptive gentlemen; eumaas is a perceptive gentleman.

Swift's big hits are Frankensteined turds. And she's a fascist.
