He's a usefull player just not in the position United wanted him to play, in fact not in any position United needed him to play. As you say he can't tackle so why play him as a defensive midfielder.

I think it made sense to buy it when it was cheap (w/ a coupon, I paid $3.98 + tax). It's going for a lot more on eBay. I can always get a turntable later.
