Hi All
Just wondered if anyone had come across the following...
I picked up a what I thought was a copy of the White Man In Hammersmith Palais single - labels are S CBS 6383.
However on playing it is in fact Midnight Oil- Best of Both Worlds/Kosciusko - matrix A 6383. It comes in a black standard CBS sleeve and not the Palais 'The Clash sleeves. The Midnight Oil single was released in 1983.
I think probably this was a printing plant error and they put the Clash labels because the codes are almost identical. Technically I suppose it isn't a Clash single as there is no Clash music on the vinyl.
I couldn't find any trace on the 'Net of this error. Anyone else seen or heard ? Cheers

Huh, weird. Discogs lists the A 6383 single as a 1984 Dutch pressing.
Wonder how many of those are out there.
