What is this “Full Moon” of which you guys speak?
It’s a demo track that’s on the cassette of the Joe Strummer 001 super deluxe boxset. It’s also the only track on the cassette.
That’s right...I forgot all about that! Thanks mate!

Re: Favourite little moments in Clash songs

Another bit I love is in the unedited “Ghetto Defendant” when Joe sings “check the heroin pity!”
I wish it had made it on to the Combat Rock version!

Re: Favourite little moments in Clash songs

The bit in Drug Stabbing Time where Joe sings "There's tape recorder on the telephone line and it's ringing from the floor" is fucking great. Oh my fucking God, I was dead set about to get on here and mention the bit immediately preceding this, where Joe sings, then Mick repeats the “In the bedroom...

Jus a bit easier reading it this way up.

It sure looks like Paul was to be included. As it mentions a tape dub for him to listen to.
Haha, I don’t know why it went sideways, thanks for that!

Re: NEW JOE STRUMMER ANTHOLOGY?

I found this interesting, on the envelope that the “This Is England/ Before We Go Forward” single is on there are some notes from the Sid and Nancy sessions that say “ write bass, teach to Paul”?!
Anyone know anything of Paul Simonon being involved or planned to be at any stage?

Re: The Bowie song you're thinking about right now thread

I heard the "new"version of Bang Bang and was not impressed, I'm not sure David would have approved. It's pretty lame. I'm not sure anything can save that album or anything from the new box. Yeah, I’ve heard the album...some of the shit songs are better, but some the good songs are worse! Never Let...

Re: NEW JOE STRUMMER ANTHOLOGY?

Weird about Love Kills, since Mick both played guitar and sang. Also the track is credited to E.T., who engineered it for Mick, who was originally producing as well. When Joe decided he wasn’t satisfied with what was done, he hired Tom Lord-Alge to remix it. Anyway, I didn’t know Joe could play gui...

Re: US North

One does wonder why they didn’t just push Joe up in the mix?
Perhaps he and Mick laid down the vocal track together around the same mic?
