Re: Chris Knowles Article on the last days of the Clash

The same article that Revbob posted elsewhere. Apparently from Class Rock #80 (from 2005). The Queen Adreena reference was the clue that it was not a current article. I did enjoy this Paul quote: “I think the last show we played was probably in Greece at some festival and that was really great. We ...

Re: Joe's teeth

Cliff Cooper founder of ORANGE amps was the manger of the Little Roosters. He cut a deal with Joe after persuading him to get his teeth sorted with Cliff's Australian dentist Doctor Newbury in Harley street London. Joe really didn't want to go, but Cliff persuaded him. Joe had been losing a lot of ...

Ok, the date can’t be right.
I'll defer to the experts around here, but I know he ran the 82 Paris 'athon. I thought maybe in Salecwiz (sp?)' book, he mentioned another one.

This has promise to not be the punk/post punk 76-85 circle jerk that the last one was.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOyaY46RorI When you have a one song setlist and don't have to worry about energy conservation. Yeah, the little bit at the end was a bit much, but otherwise that was fun. I enjoy this intro from around that same time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkySGM7gysg It's...

Nothing is better than being League Champions.
This is what I don’t get. I’m probably wrong but winning Champions but not EPL is kinda like winning the World Series but not winning your division.

Re: Association Football Thread

Wife and I are big fans, so this has been great. Gotta say it's a bit underwhelming, but it still counts. No disrespect Matedog but if you were one of the fans who had been waiting 30 years it wouldn't feel like that. Here's a bit of football/music trivia for you. Both Pink Floyd (Fearless) and The...

Re: My semi-annual plea for Rat Patrol, part 27

Don't forget Ghetto Defendant was released on Sound System. And I maintain Casbah is a unique mix on Rat Patrol, the backing harmonies and sound effects are much louder. Yeah Teddy didn't include it in his summary, but the track length matches to the second so it is probably an oversight on his end.

Re: Leaving out This Is England, what is your favourite song on CTC?

Joe's WATC adlibs are great:
"Whaaat!"
"Louder!" (I like this one especially because after, the next line comes in at the exact same volume as the previous line)
