All the weirder considering they got famous with one of the most wild and undisciplined drummers in rock and roll history.

Re: The All Smiths/Morrissey Thread
Today I realized that the song Dear Stephen off the new MSP album is a heartfelt plea from Nicky Wire to Morrissey to "come back to us"... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMuhQIu898o Some of us have concluded that's what he always was and we just misread the tea leaves. :meh: I think you're probabl...

Re: Currently watching.
I just watched Ted Lasso for the second time. It's such a wonderful show, especially in a world that is increasingly crummy. I almost cannot wait for Season 4.

Re: Currently watching.
I watched Season 4 of True Detective. Jodie Foster is excellent, but the story and the other characters are not as intriguing as Season 1 and Season 2. I felt the same way and I think because the season was too short. Seasons 1-3 were 8 episodes, this season was only 6 and while maybe 2 episodes sh...

Re: movies
A Real Pain, Oscar nominated I believe. What an annoying movie which is a shame considering the subject matter. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt21823606/ The Boss dialed that up a few weeks ago. I was meh on it, largely because I don't like Jesse Eisenberg . That Culkin brother was okayish, tho, I sup...

Re: What Are you Eating Right Now?
Decided to be a loyal Canadian (culturally, anyway) by buying some all-dressed chips. And I've been reminded why I don't do that—way, way too intense in flavour. The Spinal Tap of flavours. I saw some Lay's "All Dressed" chips at 7 Eleven today. You avoided like it was filled with midges, I hope. I...

The Dickies - The Incredible Shrinking Dickies Minutemen - Double Nickels on the Dime Was just listening to Incredible Shrinking Dickies yesterday. Super fun, forgot how many classics they stuffed on their first two records (both covers and originals). I need to play those albums at more of the par...

Top-10 LA based punk albums, 1978-1985. What do you got? I'll throw out a couple of nominees: The Descendents - Milo Goes to College - Snotty, fast, weirdly emotional, and way more relatable than it should be. T.S.O.L. - Dance with Me - Creepy, goth-punk perfection. They leaned into the horror vibe...

Different times, different ideals. The Clash gave up a portion of the proceeds from the sales of London Calling and Sandinista! to release them at half the price. Springsteen announces the release of seven unreleased albums from his past, from the 1980s onwards. They must be purchased all together,...

At $299.99 it comes out to something like $42.99 per CD. Yikes.
