https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FxJ1UTuXwAITikH?format=jpg&name=900x900 Hello, How many of these acts are 1) still active; and 2) still alive? I'd say a few of them anyway. U2 for one, Joe Walsh still playin with the Eagles and saw the Pretenders last week and can confirm they're still making a very so...

Martin Amis. Technically prodigiously gifted writer though generally preferred his observational reportage pieces to his fiction. Money and Time's Arrow are two I really enjoyed and think they both stand up pretty well today. I have a stack of his books that I've been collecting in order to have a ...

Mick is working behind the scenes as a roadie/gofer. He's currently writing the notes on Paul's ukulele.Marky Dread wrote: ↑23 May 2023, 4:52amTeddyB Not Logged In wrote: ↑23 May 2023, 12:04amMick tells me Leo Williams is playing bass in the live band, as Paul is playing the ukulele.but what about that bloke Mick?

As I was eating lunch, one of the crows was making a racket. Looked out the window and saw a red fox kit, stealing whatever it was the crow dropped in the yard. I saw the gray ones out at night and noticed one kit as well. More babies. Yay. https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/snl/images/6/66/Wild_and...

This album is really very good. Honestly hadn't known what to expect initially, but it's packed with good tunes and delightful arrangements. Paul is well up to it on the vocal front, too.

Re: Misheard Lyrics
Great to see that's still doing the rounds. It's a new one for me. Was just reading a Stuart Adamson book and it was mentioned in it. Apparently, Stuart was the one who gave them the okay to use the song and Jobson was furious with him because he felt it took the piss out of his very serious song. ...

Re: Heston and Marky's Friday Top 5
Said this before but that album is weird, got some of REM's very best for me and also some of their worst. SHP and LMR are both equally bad, can't make my mind up which is the more horrible. After Green, and with the exception of Automatic For the People, their records became one or two good songs ...

Cheers plexi, look forward to listening to that later. Sounds really interesting from the couple of bits I've heard, that GOB is great.
