Re: Currently watching.

Watched the netflix documentary on the making of We Are The World and it was ok but, to be honest, a couple of reviews I'd read led me to believe it would be a lot better than it was. Frankly, I expected more sniping, ego-fuelled tantrums and maybe even a wet fish slap contest or two. Bar Waylon Je...

Re: I can't stand the blues

I might have mentioned it before, but Milwaukee has an interesting connection to pre-war blues. There is a town called Grafton, which is at the top of Milwaukee County. Grafton was the home of the Wisconsin Chair Company. They made furniture, including phonograph cabinets, and decided cheaply produ...

Re: Two Festhalle '84 Concert Reviews (Translated): Now On Mohawk's Revenge FB Page

Heads up to everybody: I have posted two concert reviews from the Bern '84 gig on the Mohawk's Revenge Facebook page. I'll be glad to do it here, if everybody wants, but I figure you can just as easily head there, and see what they're all about. Both are post- gig reviews, one from the Berner Zeitu...

Re: I hear you knockin' but you can't come in

The only times I've been a victim of burglary was the multiple times during my college years when, and i can't stress this strongly enough, there was almost nothing of any remote value to burgle. Once, i arrived home to find a break in ongoing but as they'd cleverly put the inside chain lock on the ...

Re: I can't stand the blues

AC/DC a pretty decent shout imo. A lot of the focus understandably on Angus, but for me the key was always that tight blues based rhythm section. And Bon could sing the blues proper when he wanted to, Brian maybe not so much.

Re: I can't stand the blues

I like the blues, both old style delta and white man variants, though not particularly knowledgeable about it. Nice to have thread resurrected, some good tracks posted and even one or two mentions for the truly awesome Rory Gallagher. Love it.

Re: I hear you knockin' but you can't come in

It's been a while since I've felt the need to mention how there was always a key in the door of our street level house during the day in which i grew up. Whatever that says about things. Our front door stays locked but back door would invariably be open weather permitting. In and out so regularly ju...
