Re: Did man land on the moon?
All I can say about that is that my 1965 VW Karman Ghia engine looked a heck of a lot like the unused 'spare' Saturn rocket lying in the weeds in Florida. Also both vehicles had engines in the back. Coincidence? I mean what are the odds?

Re: Did man land on the moon?
Maybe it just me but I always thought that it was the conspiracy theory that was faked since we all know that the moon landing wasn't. There actually is no conspiracy theory - it's been faked by the United States Government and it is this fraud that the Chinese and Russians are happy to abide for - ...

Re: Remembering song from fragments of memory
Also bongos. Bongos, flute and maybe a Jamaican or British narrator - not really a sung song but more narrated. But I don't think it is that Donovan song but maybe of the same ilk which is more sing-songy. The narrator might be guiding the listener along a path or a beach or along some water and the...

Re: Remembering song from fragments of memory
I think the narrator has an 'exotic' accent and maybe there is a lyric like: you are walking in a garden (jungle?)

Remembering song from fragments of memory
Can anyone figure out what song might fit with these memories as I am trying to locate the song. I think it was a hit maybe 1967? +- a few years. Maybe later? Had a flute - prominent I think there was kind of a dreamy narrative maybe with an a British or Jamaican narrator/singer - maybe I think the ...

Ride of the Valkyries... apropos of nothing, it can also be heard on 'The Birth of a Nation' and 'Apocalypse Now' This is what he should be coming out of the plane to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mJWCfGj8Jk Dare I say apropos of this: "It is true, said Carr, that Wagner's music was used at key ...

Trump music choice Florida ralley
Now I wanted to see how this might compare to a Nuremberg rally but I can't quite figure out what was intended here. http://www.newsweek.com/watch-live-trump-rally-florida-saturday-february-18-livestream-558383 If you cut in at minute 32:00 you can get a couple minutes of some music. What is it? The...

At about seconds 20-25 it sounds a bit familiar, somehow - maybe I heard it shopping somewhere.

Re: RIP Prince
Did nobody think the pic I posted was hilarious? Because I thought it was hilarious. :disshame: I'd seen it. It's sorta funny, but makes clear that whoever designed it views most terrorists as Muslims (i.e. the 72 virgins nonsense). And there's a case to be made for that view these days. But I sure...

Re: RIP Prince
Just wondering: other than the song title what, in common parlance, does the phrase "Purple Rain" connote? The whole 'purple' thing appears to be quite the thing now on TV - purple lights, presidential mentions, etc.

Re: TRUMP!!
Hmmm... on Facebook Trump has 3 million page 'likes' and Hillary's page has only 1.4 million. Kinda shocking, actually. Bernie has 1.6. Carly has about 200K but is up 1000%. Then again, Perry has 1.2 million and it looks like he is going to need even smarter glasses to survive. Here is some data fro...
