Re: Bye bye Biden.

I read Uncanny from around the Dark Phoenix story until issue 200 and New Mutants to the same time. I also read Grant Morrison's run (after the fact) and generally enjoyed his take. I have the perhaps unenviable distinction of having read very nearly everything starting with All-New, All-Different ...

Re: Simmo and Patti Smith

Joe's chest size wasn't 72 inches, tho. He's got more Deadpool proportions I guess. Except for being short. Hmm, could Ryan Reynolds pull off Joe in a biopic? God help us all Could he be any worse than the Jonathan Rhyss Myers guy or whatever his name was? I didn't watch that film, but I think the ...

My experience lately is that everyone just has a loud-ass conversation throughout the entire show.

Re: Bye bye Biden.

Had to look them up. Man, so much X-Men-related stuff looks terrible. That was a particularly low point, but like anything that's been around this long, there's peaks and valleys. I read Uncanny from around the Dark Phoenix story until issue 200 and New Mutants to the same time. I also read Grant M...

You always bet it was Rob Liefeld!
Look—pouches and no feet. It's gotta be him!

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread

Some tv show is being advertised and uses a snippet of "Black Hole Sun." It reminds and reinforces how damned boring I found and still find around 95% of grunge. It wants to be heavy and deep and dark, but it just sounds corny to me. Grunge is just music from people who liked equally boring rock fr...

Professor Xavier's School, Class of '87. I can summon and weaponize any shitty hard rock band against a specific target. The first WTC bombing? It was actually Damn Yankees. Better than Bird Brain or Gosamyr. Had to look them up. Man, so much X-Men-related stuff looks terrible. That was a particula...

What's with the pouches attached to his breeches? They look like sheaths or scabbards or something. Was he on his way to a Three Musketeers audition? I bet it was Rob Liefeld. You always bet it was Rob Liefeld! Look—pouches and no feet. It's gotta be him! Joe's chest size wasn't 72 inches, tho. He'...

Re: Ask Heston, a thread where you ask Heston

I have $40 CAN in my wallet... True story: When the pandemic lockdown began, I had about $50 cash on me and I didn't spend it for close to two years. Was it worth less after the two years? I got mine for a strip club and then forgot to spend what was left over when I departed. Because of inflation,...

I didn't realize that Goldsmith took those Clash 2 photos. https://sfae.blob.core.windows.net/media/ecommercesite/media/sfae/sfae.artwork/2583_1.jpg Also this is one Joe's worst looks ever: https://media.gettyimages.com/id/640464385/photo/joe-strummer-of-the-clash.jpg?s=612x612&w=gi&k=20&c=49j-aLmH...

Re: Simmo and Patti Smith

Thanks White Man for the video, Paul always in great shape! Speaking of Paul and Smith, in the 90s I bought a photography book by Lynn Goldsmith and, among other photos, there was this one of Paul taken in New York in 1984. I think Goldsmith wanted to embellish the story a little too much, however ...

Re: Ask Heston, a thread where you ask Heston

Oi! Keep outta our thread. New job mate? Been doing it about 9 months mate and it has vastly reduced my Internet time! Weird priorities, man. Yeah, I don't know if I can support this. Exactly, and why were none of us consulted on this? Who gave the go ahead? I certainly don't recall granting Heston...
